It has been argued whether Golf is a sport or a game. Regardless of your thoughts on this, it certain that golf has a very physical component. A golfer needs a combination of strength, speed, power and flexibility in order to reach his or her potential. |
A golfer's equipment includes more than clubs and a ball. It also includes arms, legs, hands, torso, feet etc. The stronger you are, the more powerful you can be as a golfer. Power is a huge advantage as a golfer. Power can mean more distance and the ability to get out of tricky situations. Being able to hit the ball farther and higher makes it easier to score well. Avoiding injuries also helps a golfer to score well. Let's face it, you can't make many birdies while you are at home nursing a sore back! If you are truly interested in being a better player, then don't ignore the impact that good fitness can have on reaching your goals! See the links above for more info on fitness. |
